Queen City Wins First Road Contest

Michael Lebowitz scores a game tying goal late in the third period, then seals the deal with an overtime marker 17 seconds into overtime as the Queen City Steam defeated the Motor City Chiefs 3-2 at Canfield Ice Arena.

Patrick Nelson assisted on both of Lebowitz's markers to earn two assists.

Motor City's Carl Stamm started the scoring with a shorthanded marker at 8:27 of the first.  The Steam's Zachary Kamrass evened things up on a feed from Brendan Aydellot at 13:32.  That ended the offense until Michael Fons - who assisted on Stamm's opening marker, scored the go-ahead goal on the powerplay at the 14:00 minute mark of the third period.  However, Lebowitz brought things back to even with just over 2 minutes to go in the game.  Lebowitz would put the game away 17 seconds into overtime.

Kevin Kustich eared the win for the Steam with 32 saves on 34 shots.

The Steam play game two in the series, and their second of eight straight away games against the Chiefs on September 16th
