Steam Take Two in Motor City
Billy Glass scored two goals and Kevin Kustich made 14 saves as the Queen City Steam overpower the Motor City Chiefs 5-2 at Canfield Ice Arena.
Glass opened the scoring at 11:07 of the first period from Raymond Gillies and Patrick Higgins. Motor City's Michael Fons brought the Chiefs back to even with a marker 29 seconds in the 2nd period. But Jason Prieur, Billy Glass, and Tucker Green would add 3 straight goals to push the Steam out front before Alexander Silvestros scored for the Chiefs with less than a minute to go in the second.
Queen City's Patrick Nelson would score the loan goal in the third with 47 seconds to go in the game to put ensure the win.
The Steam continue on the road against the Grand Rapids Owls September 22nd and 23rd.
